Q: Who will photograph my wedding? How long are you there?
A: I personally photograph each wedding. Coverage times depend on the package you purchase, but I usually begin the day when the bride starts getting ready and finish when the reception ends. An assistant / second photographer accompanies me to weddings and other events as needed. All other events are photographed by Aynav and the coverage times depend on the package you purchase for your event.

Q: How would you describe your photography style?
A: My photography style is photojournalistic or "candid" photography. I also specialize in portraits and group shots. Most couples / clients request both, as part of a well-rounded collection of images from your wedding day, or any other event.

Q: How Many photographs do you take?
A: I will shoot unlimited Color and B/W images.

Q: Do you have back-up equipment?
A: Absolutely! I am fully prepared for any photographic situation. The equipment is well maintained, handled with care and fully insured.

Q: How far in advance are you booked?
A: Usually 6 - 12 months, but even with a week notice I will photograph any event if the day is available. Dates do book up, so if you are getting married, or have any other important occasion, during high season (April-October), it is best to reserve your date well in advance. I will book a wedding / event up to 18 months in advance.

Q: Do you travel to shoot weddings?
A: Yes! I love shooting destination weddings and I will travel just about anywhere in the world to shoot your ceremony. Travel expenses apply such as flights, hotel accommodations, and car rental if needed.

Q: Can you hold a date?
A: No, I am sorry. I book an event on a first come, first serve basis.

Top

Q: How do we reserve / book the date?
A: A signed contract and a retainer payment are required to reserve your date.

Top

Q: What are your payment terms?
A: I require a retainer equal to fifty present of the total package price of services to hold your date, with the balance due two weeks before your wedding. My contract is simple and friendly. Payment should be received in full prior to your wedding or event date.

Q: When will I see my wedding / event images? When will I receive my album?
A: Images are usually ready for delivery or pickup within 4-6 weeks. Album design and production can take anywhere from two months to six months, depending on how many albums you order, and how long the album companies take to turn around the finished album.

Q: When do you deliver the negatives & digital files?
A: If your package includes digital files and/or negatives, they will be delivered according to what is agreed in your contract.

Q: Do you shoot film or digital?
A: I offer both pro digital and film photography, but most of the work these days is in digital format.

Top

Q: What type of equipment do you use? Where do you make your prints?
A: I use a variety of Nikon professional digital and film equipment. When making prints, I use several labs in Los Angeles, Boston and New York. They range from high-quality professional labs to master printers skilled in hand crafting fine-art museum prints.

Q: Can you do re-touching, or change photos to B&W or sepia?
A: Yes. I work with Photoshop when needed, and can easily remove blemishes, under-eye lines, or soften the appearance of skin. I can also convert color to B&W or sepia. Minor enhancements can be done for no additional charge. For complicated or extensive re-touching or enhancements, an additional charge will apply.
